Wragge & Co has scooped three awards at Business in the Community's (BITC) Awards for Excellence 2010, the UK's leading awards for responsible practice.
For the third year running the firm has maintained its Big Tick status for eco efficiency. Judges praised Wragge & Co's eco programme for taking a strategic, comprehensive and innovative approach to reducing natural resource and waste.
The firm was also awarded the national Big Tick for employability for the first time as a member of the West Midlands Business Action on Homelessness Steering Group. The award recognises Wragge & Co's programme helping homeless people find employment in collaboration with companies such as Cadbury, Marks & Spencer and KPMG, including hosting interview skills workshops, work placements and job coaching.
The Steering Group, a partnership of local businesses, homeless and community agencies, and Government that helps homeless people find employment and independent living, was also awarded the West Midlands Community Impact Award for Community Innovation.
Head of corporate responsibility Lorna Gavin said: "This is a tremendous result for the firm. We are dedicated to our community and eco programmes, and to be recognised as a leader in these areas is a huge achievement. Our people continually get behind our initiatives, from recycling and reducing paper usage, to mentoring and volunteer job coaching. It's this support that really helps us make a difference."

With more than 850 members, BITC is a charity that aims to mobilise business for good.
