Wragge & Co LLP has boosted its tax capability with the appointment of Anne Fairpo as a director. The appointment strengthens the firm's tax credentials and enhances its full-service capability for corporate finance.

Kevin Lowe, head of the Corporate Tax team, said: "Anne is one of the UK's leading advisers and an expert on taxation in relation to IP. She brings extensive experience of corporate tax structuring and transactional work, having worked in both legal and accountancy firms."

Anne joins from chartered accountants Rawlison & Hunter, where she was tax director. She has an extensive background in general corporate tax, with particular expertise in advising US companies expanding into the EU. She is author of Tottel's Taxation of Intellectual Property and the taxation of intellectual property chapter of Tolley's Tax Planning. Anne is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation, including the Council, Education Committee and several technical sub-committees.

The Corporate Tax team is experienced in handling day-to-day tax issues, from substantial shareholdings relief to employee-related securities, capital allowances, VAT and transfer pricing. Its two partners, Kevin Lowe and Neil Pearson, specialise in corporate tax and share schemes.
