Wragge & Co recognises that a law firm is about much more than just fee-earners. More than 250 people work in a variety of support roles across six key teams.  The support staff, who are predominantly based in the Birmingham office, play a critical role in developing the business and adding value for our clients; they are recognised and rewarded accordingly.

No previous experience of working in a law firm is necessary to join our support staff. As with all recruitment, Wragge & Co looks for potential, talent and a can-do attitude. Our support teams are:

  • Business Development - divided into three teams (client development, strategic bids and marketing & communications) the BD team helps the firm win more profitable work.

  • Business Information Systems - the team take care of all things technology, from providing BlackBerrys and laptops to offering PC support.

  • Compliance and professional support - the team is responsible for advising on the full spectrum of conduct, conflicts, information security and regulatory requirements and the provision of research and legal resource services.

  • Facilities - the facilities team ensure the smooth running of the firm, working on reception, security, maintenance and much more.

  • Finance the finance department is split into teams, dealing with specific financial transactions ensuring first-class service, legal expertise and standards of best practice.

  • Human Resources the three HR teams (HR, recruitment & reward and learning & development) work together to provide our people with first-rate advice on a range of services including recruitment, rewards, diversity and training.

  • Learning & Development the team is responsible for the provision of high-quality legal, business skills and leadership training.
