Its lawyers worked with corporate, tax and real estate colleagues to advise property developer Parkridge on the formation of two pan-European investment and development funds circa €200 million and €425 million.
The team completed property portfolio refinancing deals for Hypothekenbank in Essen AG and Sparekassen Spar Trelleborg. It demonstrated its understanding of the retail and leisure sectors with its involvement in the acquisition of a £275 million public house portfolio and the property aspects relating to a £805 million securisation. Other highlights include acting for European Investment Bank in relation to a £100 million loan facility to British Airways for the world cargo terminal at Heathrow.
The team's financing work for various Danish investors and for RBS in the mid-market saw the team ranked in Legal 500's recommended property finance lawyers.
Areas of expertise are senior debt, mezzanine debt, syndicated and bilateral loan agreements, deeds of priority, debentures, mortgages and guarantees. Strong property development credentials sees the team advise on professional team appointments, collateral warranties and step in agreements.
