Wragge & Co LLP has announced the promotion of eight new directors, strengthening core practice areas and preparing for further growth. According to senior partner Quentin Poole, the appointments underline Wragge & Co's commitment to providing the very best full service legal advice.
The new directors are Patrick Arben (IT litigation), Toby Askin (real estate), Catherine Clarke (corporate), Anna Fletcher (employment), Sue Ryan (construction litigation), Greg Standing (finance litigation), Edward Sunderland (banking and finance) and Jonathon Wilkes (real estate). These new appointments take the total number of directors to 28.
Quentin Poole said: "Each of these high-calibre lawyers has consistently demonstrated a strong mix of technical expertise and commercial experience. Wragge & Co's priority is providing clients with the best advice and creative legal solutions across a full range of disciplines. Promoting eight new directors in corporate, real estate, dispute resolution, human resources and finance demonstrates our commitment to maintaining and enhancing this full service."
The director role recognises associates who have an exceptional level of experience and skill, and who have made an outstanding contribution to the business. Responsibilities can include managing client relationships or leading a particular practice area.
This year Wragge & Co achieved turnover of £112.6 million with significant growth across the board. New client wins included major corporates Birds Eye, Kaupthing Singer & Friedlander and Praemium. Other highlights include winning Managing Intellectual Property's UK law firm category and being named law provider of the year at the FT Business Pension and Investment Provider Awards.
The firm also sealed its reputation as a great place to work. It is the only law firm to feature in the Financial Times 50 Best Workplaces in the UK. Having appeared in the FT list more than five consecutive times, Wragge & Co is a 'best workplaces laureate'. It is also the only law firm to appear in the Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For every year since the survey began in 2001.
