Wragge & Co appoints Paul Kent as new property litigation director

Wragge & Co LLP has underlined its commitment to property litigation with a high-profile new appointment. Pinsent Masons partner Paul Kent has joined Wragge & Co's ten-lawyer Property Litigation team as a director.

Head of the property litigation Anne Waltham said: "Paul is an accomplished and experienced lawyer with an excellent reputation in the real estate market. His arrival strengthens the team, providing additional senior resource to help us deliver first-class commercial dispute resolution services to clients across the UK."

Described in Legal 500's latest rankings as "capable and measured", Paul is a highly regarded property litigation expert. Experienced in all types of property-related problems, areas of particular expertise include landlord and tenant issues, nuisance, restrictive covenants, rights of way and rating problems.

At Pinsent Masons, Paul headed the Birmingham property litigation team where he advised clients including funds, property companies, local authorities, infrastructure companies and private estates. A former Midlands chairman of the Property Litigation Association, he has a number of leading cases to his name. These include Hampshire Ware Services & Others, a cutting edge injunction against an anticipated invasion of commercial premises by protesters.

Wragge & Co's national Property Litigation team advises major corporate, developers, investors and public sector clients on all landlord and tenant and real estate issues. Clients include Argent, British Airways, John Lewis, Financial Times and Castlepoint LP.
