Wragge & Co LLP Real Estate group has advised St. Modwen on the development of a new £84 million campus for Bournville College in Longbridge.

The deal will see the college consolidate its three existing sites on one purpose-built 250,000 sq ft campus. Subject to approval, it is expected to be completed by September 2011. The new college is part of St. Modwen's £750 million regeneration of the area. Together with joint land owner Advantage West Midlands, St. Modwen is transforming 468 acres of land into a new-mixed use community.

Real estate associate Sally Farrall and construction specialist Patrick Garner formed the Wragge & Co team. They worked with Mike Murray, St. Modwen's senior development manager responsible for the area. Hammonds acted for Advantage West Midlands and Martineau Johnson advised Bournville College.

Mike Murray of St. Modwen said: "The Bournville College agreement represents a very positive step forward for the regeneration of Longbridge. As Wragge & Co has played an integral part in progress at Longbridge to date, the team fully appreciated the significance of this agreement and worked closely with St. Modwen to complete the deal successfully."

Sally Farrall said: "This deal demonstrates St. Modwen's commitment to its ambitious Longbridge project and is an exciting development for Bournville College and the local community. Our expertise in complex regeneration projects and close relationship with St. Modwen allowed this deal to be completed smoothly and within a short time-frame."

FTSE 250-listed St. Modwen is a leading UK regeneration and property development specialist. It acquired 412 acres of the Longbridge site over two deals in 2003 and 2004.
